Pasta

So to start this one off, I have a verse for you.

2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

So pasta is a meal that is very high in carbs, there is a study that 82% of runners that have a high carb meal before running can last longer. I believe that is true. I believe that if you eat more carbs you can do this. Well pasta is a great source of carbs. Did you know that approximately 45-65 percent of calories should come from carbohydrates. That is pretty much half of food intake then. That shows you how important carbs are. God calls us to run the good race and fight the good fight. Well in a spiritual sense, carbs don't do a thing for us when it comes to running. However, what if God was the pasta and he was the carbs to our spiritual fullness? How can we run the race and fight the good fight without God keeping us going. Maybe we would last about a week maybe 2, but eventually you would lose energy. We need some kind of carb to help us keep going. In my book the best carb is God. He is always keeping us nourished and he gives us that push when we feel we can't continue.

We need carbs in our daily diet but I challenge you to pick the carb that won't be found in nutrition books, this carb can be found in the Bible.
