How the Arnold Palmer Came About!

This is not the truth, but it would be funny if it was this way.

While at Seminary a few others and I came up with this because the tea is bad by itself there and so is the lemonade.

"He then left the city of Columbus traveling to the village of Dayton. The men of the community were gathering for common meal when they saw two chalices before them on the dirt path. One looking like gold and the other like muddy water. The men now curious take each cup and try of each of the lustrous liquids. The look of disgust appeared on their faces and this is where God revealed his masterpiece to the followers. The vision goes like this 'take the gold and mud color liquids that future men will call Lemonade and Ice Tea, but do not drink of them straight for thy is bitter on thy lips and tongue. Take both liquids and raise them above your head and bless them. God then commanded to mix the liquids together.' Hence forth that day man had a refreshing drink. The men after drinking this refreshing muddish-gold liquid pondered on what to call it. Just then an angel of the Lord appeared and said 'it was I that told God about this concoction and therefore name it after me. I asked and what is that? He simply replied Arnold Palmer.' To this day men and women have a refreshment that is clearly from God."

Start of Something New!

WOW! September is almost over. I cannot believe it.

This past month has been a blast. We went to Magic Mountain (took 26 kids), had a Game Night (30 kids), and just had our Fall Picnic last night (35 kids). Our Youth room was never designed to hold this many kids. It is completely AWESOME!

I am in the midst of cleaning my office and getting ready to start Confirmation. So I need to clean my office so we can meet in there. This week as well I am decorating the Youth Hall for Halloween. I really like this time of the year. :)

The 48 inch black lights came in the mail today. YAY!!!

It has been an exciting time.
This week starting in October, the haven's theme is "Practical Atheist" which I am excited about.

Come check us out and have a good time with us on Sunday Nights from 6-8 PM
